With decades of experience in journalism, science, and clean energy policy, co-founders Adrienne Baker and Andrew Slavin launched Energy and Mines to accelerate collaboration across sectors and continents. Their leadership continues to shape critical conversations on sustainable mining and energy innovation.
Andrew Slavin

After earning a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and spending several years in academia, Andrew transitioned from the world of astronomy to the dynamic field of business conferences in 1997. Since then, he has successfully produced business-to-business events across a diverse range of sectors, including telecommunications, broadcasting, financial communications, media, mining, and energy policy.
Adrienne Baker
Director
Adrienne Baker holds degrees from McGill and Concordia Universities and began her career in financial journalism. Over seven years, she reported for and edited several prominent publications, including Investor Relations Magazine, Corporate Secretary, Communicate Magazine, and CEO Magazine.
